Privacy Policy

MaluchTracker App | Last update: November 2, 2026

MaluchTracker (the "App") respects the privacy of its users. This policy explains what data the App processes, where it is stored, and what (to a limited extent) goes to external services. The App is intended for adults (parents and legal guardians), not for children.

1. Data Controller

Data about your baby and their care (section 2) is stored only on your device. You are its controller.

Anonymous usage statistics (section 4) are processed by the publisher using Google Firebase Analytics.

Privacy contact: [email protected].

2. Data You Enter Into the App

The App processes data you choose to enter. All of the following categories are stored only locally on your phone:

Since version 2.4.0 the App does not offer medical features (temperature, medicines, symptoms and illness history, vaccination and visit calendar). If you used them in earlier versions, the entries saved then remain only on your phone and in the backup you make yourself. They are not displayed or sent anywhere. You can permanently delete them in Settings.

You enter the data on your own initiative and the App does not send it off your device.

3. Storage of Data

💡 Your baby's data stays on your phone. The App has no user account and no server of its own, and does not send this data to the cloud, the publisher or third parties.

A backup (JSON file) is created only when you make one. The CSV export (a table for Excel or Google Sheets) works the same way: the file is created on your phone only when you ask for it, you decide where to send it, and it contains no medical data. Uninstalling the App permanently deletes the data stored in it.

4. Anonymous Usage Statistics (Google Firebase Analytics)

The App uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand which features are used and to improve the App.

What is sent:

What is never sent:

Event parameters are filtered inside the App before they leave your phone.

Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and device-access rules). Statistics are off by default: on first launch the App asks whether you agree ("I agree" / "No, thanks"), and nothing is sent until you consent. You can withdraw consent at any time (withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing): gear icon on the home screen (Settings), "Anonymous usage statistics" switch.

Processor: Google (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC). Google policies: policies.google.com/privacy, firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

Retention: detailed event data is kept according to the service settings (by default up to 2 months, at most 14 months). Data is encrypted in transit (TLS).

5. Device Permissions

The App uses the permissions it needs to work (including internet access for anonymous statistics). It does not need your location, contacts, camera or microphone. The advertising permission (AD_ID) is blocked.

Reminders. If you turn on the feeding reminder in Settings, the App schedules a local notification on your phone (it uses the time of the last feeding stored on your device to work out when to remind you). The optional sleep-window reminder is also a local notification: the App works out its time on your phone from the sleep entries and your baby's date of birth stored on the device, and this data never leaves your device. In the same way, entirely on your phone, the App works out the time of the prediction-based feeding reminder (from the rhythm of logged feedings) and applies quiet hours – a time range in which automatic reminders are not shown. Notifications are created and shown by your phone's system: nothing is sent to the publisher or to any server, and the App does not obtain a push token. We ask for the system notification permission (POST_NOTIFICATIONS) only after you turn on your first reminder; you can revoke it in system settings.

6. Third-Party Sharing

The App does not sell data and does not pass any data about your baby to anyone. The only external service that receives data is Google: Firebase Analytics in the App (section 4) and, only with your consent, Google Analytics on the website (section 9). There are no ads in the App. You install the App through Google Play or the Apple App Store, which follow their own privacy policies.

7. Children's Privacy

The App may be used only by adults. It does not collect data directly from children.

8. User Rights

Your baby's data is only with you: you can edit, delete or export it, or remove it by uninstalling the App. You can withdraw consent to anonymous statistics in Settings at any time. You have the right of access, rectification, erasure and objection, and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.

9. Website maluchtracker.pl and Cookies

The website maluchtracker.pl (the App's landing page) uses Google Analytics 4, a service of Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC, for visit statistics: which pages are viewed, from which country and device, and in which language. The controller of this data is the App publisher (contact: [email protected]).

After you consent, Google Analytics collects:

Legal basis: your consent given in the cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and, for storing and reading information on your device, Art. 173 of the Polish Telecommunications Law). Until you click "Accept", the site does not load Google Analytics, sends no requests to Google and sets no analytics cookies. "Reject" is just as easy and does not limit your use of the site.

Advertising consent: the site shows no ads. Advertising storage and ad personalization (Google Consent Mode v2: ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization) are always off.

How to withdraw or change consent: click "Cookie settings" in the site footer (also at the bottom of this page) and choose "Reject". This switches analytics off and deletes the _ga cookies from your browser. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. Your choice is remembered in your browser storage (localStorage, key mt_cookie_consent) and is not sent to a server.

Cookies set after consent:

NamePurposeExpiryProvider
_gaDistinguishing users (random browser identifier)2 yearsGoogle Analytics (first-party cookie, maluchtracker.pl domain)
_ga_<ID>Persisting session state2 yearsGoogle Analytics (first-party cookie, maluchtracker.pl domain)

Expiry times follow Google's documentation (support.google.com/analytics/answer/11397207); browsers may shorten them.

Data retention in Google Analytics: according to the setting in the Google Analytics property (2 months by default, 14 months at most). Google may process data outside the European Economic Area under GDPR transfer mechanisms (e.g. standard contractual clauses). Google's policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

How to opt out: block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

The rights described in section 8 also apply to website data; you may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority (in Poland: the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, UODO).

10. Changes to this Policy

The publisher may update this policy. Changes will be published on this page and in the app stores.
